We have received approximately 15 to 20 cm of fresh snow in the last 24 hours.

Our main grooming machine is still under repair but we did manage to get it out packing a bit earlier today. Unfortunately, the tiller is still not functioning properly so our staff and mechanics continue to work to diagnose the problem.

In the meantime, Apex, Night Loop and Cottonwood Rail Grade have been groomed for skate skiing, and classic track will be set on those trails as of about 10 a.m. Keep in mind, with heavy snow falling, we are already seeing significant accumulation on the groomed trails.

Busk Euphrates and Clearwater have not been groomed or trackset since yesterday morning.

With all the recent snow, and more coming throughout the day, it will not be a great day for skiing at Nelson Nordic. We hope to have better grooming conditions and catch up with the snowfall over the next few days. 🙁
