Nelson Nordic Ski Club relies on the support of its generous, community minded volunteers to keep its programs, events and operations running smoothly and efficiently!
We will be holding a Volunteer Work Bee at 10 am on Sunday, October 16, at Apex to get our facilities ready for the winter.
RSVP to jaime@nelsonnordicski.ca if you would be able to contribute a few hours toward the completion of these and other tasks:
- Pre-season tidying of Apex Hut, kiosk, and cabins.
- Moving picnic tables back into Apex Hut for the season.
- Firewood preparation & transport to cabins.
- Clean-up and organization of the shelving units in the machine shop.
- Raking section of Euphrates trail for grass seeding.
Please bring light tools, rakes, work gloves, etc.
If you have a pickup truck, please bring it.
We’ll supply coffee from Oso (please bring your own mug), and hours worked will be eligible toward a discount for next season’s pass.
(Minimum 8 hours must be worked during the period Sept 1 – Aug 31 to qualify for a discount.)
UPDATED OCT 23, 8 AM: WE HAVE A FEW PUMPKINS AVAILABLE FOR THE 10:30AM TIME SLOT. WE ARE CLOSING ONLINE SALES.
PLEASE BRING $20 CASH ONLY TO THE EVENT. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.
Join Nelson Nordic’s Track Attack and Junior Racers at our popular annual Pumpkin Hunt to raise funds for our youth ski program!

Admission of $20 includes one pumpkin, two hot chocolates and a cookie.
All tickets must be purchased in advance.
We look forward to seeing you out at the Nelson Nordic Apex trailhead on Sunday, October 23. Rain or shine!
