Attention all you Valentine’s Love Birds and Chicks – Get your singing voices ready!!!
Jamie Bastedo will be playing his ukulele and guitar and inviting us all to sing along at the Valentine’s night event. Some of his selections are listed below in case you want to bring your own lyrics:
Somewhere over the rainbow, Can’t help falling in love, All I have to do is dream, Light my fire, Hallelujah, What a wonderful world, Brown-eyed girl, Stand by me, You’ve got a friend, Leavin’ on a jet plane, I‘m yours – which apparently has the word “love” 9 times.
So come out with your food donation for the Nelson Community Food Centre, enjoy some hot apple cider (bring your own cup), bring a healthy baked good to share (much appreciated) ski the torch lit trails, enjoy the sing along and fly a candle lantern – what a special night it will be.
Note: We could sure use a few more volunteers to help decorate and prepare some Valentines goodies for Thursday.
Please sign up at volunteersignup.org/T47RC or email firstname.lastname@example.org to help. Thank you!!
A note to members that we now have a new trail host, Zoe, that will be skiing our trails during the higher use periods to provide direction, answer questions, and provide radio link for emergency response. You may also be asked to show your member card or day pass on the trails so please ensure it is visible/available when asked.
Zoe is one of our top performing junior racers and trains and competes with the NNSC Racing team. Zoe will be identified by a red NNSC vest and will also have trail maps available. Please say HI when you see her on the trails!
