Amazing prizes for the club with the most members registered by December 1st!
Our provincial organization, Cross-Country BC, is organizing a competition to see which club can register the highest percent of last year’s membership by December 1st. We have a chance to win some amazing gear and prizes which would be used to raise funds and benefit the club.
The prizes are incredible, with Salomon, Rossingol and Fischer donating brand-new sets of ski gear, as well as luxury getaways at Tyax Lodge and Silver Star/Sovereign Lakes. Diamond Head Sports is donating roller skis and wax by Vauhti, glasses by Bliz, and outwear by Halti.
We are definitely in the running, and we need all our members to get out and register in order to win!!
Thanks to all of our amazing members who took the time to complete the survey in September – we had an incredible response and now have lots of great data to work with for our strategic planning session.
The lucky winner of our Survey Membership Draw was Cole Grey – congratulations Cole!
We have another free membership (and lots of other awesome prizes) up for grabs in our Early Bird Draw on Nov 7th, so make sure you register early to get your name in the hat!
We are excited to be offering Online Registration for membership and youth programs this season. Registration is now as easy as a few clicks from the comfort of your home, and there is no excuse to miss out on Early Bird prices!
As an added bonus, we will also be holding two Early Bird prize draws to reward those loyal members who choose to commit to the Club by November 6th. The earlier you register, the more chances you have to win!

This is the third step in the NCCP coach education program. Coaches are taught about developmental age, physical literacy, team building, making ethical decisions, athletic components (aerobic fitness, speed, etc.), nutrition, how to design their own sport program, adventure-based activities (year-round), roller-skiing and planning a practice.
The CCI (L2T) program provides tools and develops skills that a coach can use to:
Create a fun, team-oriented environment that will motivate children to achieve their personal goals in sport and develop a lifelong interest in the fitness and health benefits of cross-country skiing
Deliver a well-rounded sport program with an emphasis on skill development to children nine to 12 years of age (the L2T stage of development).
This course is subsidized thanks to the support of Cross Country BC, viaSport and PacificSport Columbia Basin as part of Coaches Week in BC!
In spite of heavy rain and soft conditions, the first annual SFU7 event saw impressive turnout and a festive atmosphere. Thanks to everyone for coming out, and to all the volunteers who made it happen, and special thanks to the NNSC staff who put in an extra effort!
