Trail Conditions Jan 18/16

….0 degrees…5cm of heavy snow with in the last 24 hours….Trails were groomed in this order: Clearwater main trail for classic & skate, Loop 1 was last groomed Jan. 16, Loops 2, 3 & 4 were last groomed Jan. 16, those loops will have snow accumulation on them…then Cottonwood for classic & skate- Apex & Night Loop skate was groomed, classic tracks last groomed Jan. 17….some sections of the skate lanes are a but choppy due to the wet/warm conditions…..Enjoy!!!!

Trail Conditions Jan. 16/16

…-3 degrees…no new snow overnight…Trails were groomed in the following order: Cottonwood, Apex, Night Loops, Busk/Euphrates and Clearwater, Loop 1. Clearwater main trail was groomed to 4.5 km as the remaining of that trail was still in very good condition. Loops 2, 3 & 4 were last groomed Jan. 15 as they too were still in very good condition..All trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing. A reminder that our Kootenay Cup race will be held tomorrow at Apex, therefore anyone not involved with the race will be asked to park at Busk. Recreational skiing on the Apex side may begin around 1:00 p.m….Thank you for your cooperation….Enjoy!!!

Trail Conditions Jan. 15/16

…-3 degrees…no new snow overnight…Trails were groomed in this order: Clearwater, Loops 1, 2, 3 & 4- Busk/Euphrates-Cottonwood- Apex & Night Loops…All trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing and in beautiful condition…The Kootenay Cup Race is being held this Sunday Jan. 17 at Apex. If you are not involved in this event you will be asked to park at Busk and there will be no recreational skiing on the Apex trails until 1:00 p.m….Thank you for your cooperation…..Enjoy!!!

Trail Conditions Jan 14/16

….0 degrees….10 – 15cm of heavy wet snow with in the last 24 hours along with rain…Trails were groomed in this order: Cottonwood, Apex (trees down on Apex, ski with caution) and Night Loops. There is about 4cm. of snow on these trails since groomed. Groomer started grooming Busk/Euphrates then Clearwater and began at 7:00 a.m…he will be working on those trails for several hours and will CLOSE the trail in which he is working, so a reminder that CLOSED means CLOSED….This accumulation of west snow and warm temperatures makes for slow and challenging grooming…therefore the trails are in Fair to Good condition…..Enjoy!!!!
