We are discontinuing grooming stadium and the Apex Meadows trail going forward (the section from the hard right at bottom of hill to the bridge).

Trails and Grooming Update

Good morning,

Conditions at our club as of 7:00am are -15c with overcast skies. Skies are to clear later in the morning and temperature should rise to about -4 by midday.

Mark has refreshed all our trails on both sides, minus the connector, Wolverine and Camp busk Loop.

This morning we have dark news, that seem to be out of step with our times, and more belong in the headlines of a newspaper in 1938, rather than 2022. I imagine that the unity shown almost entirely around the world will lead to a positive outcome. But that won’t alleviate the immediate tragedy and suffering of the innocent Ukrainian people. Let us keep these brave people close in our thoughts today and the days going forward as the events unfold.

TRAILS & GROOMING UPDATE

Grooming conditions overnight were very challenging, so Busk Euphrates and Night Loop have been groomed and are in fair to good condition for classic and skate skiing.

We elected to leave Clearwater network and the rest of the Apex trails ungroomed this morning. These trails remain in fair condition after yesterday. Please use caution descending Clearwater early this morning as sections may be icy and very fast.

Temperature as of 5:45 am is around -3, with heavy snow forecasted to begin falling around 8am this morning. We are hopeful that the freezing level will remain below Club elevation as forecasted. If you are skiing today, expect midday highs around zero and plenty of fresh snow on the trails.

Please also use caution on the roads today!
