Trails and Grooming Report

Good Morning Skiers,

The time is 7:00 am and the temperature is -7c. 2 cm of fresh snow over night. Skies should be partly sunny today with temperatures rising to around -2c.

Grooming is well along, with Cottonwood, Apex Rail grade complete. Busk Main and Euphrates are also complete, with East Busk still waiting on another good snow fall. The grooming machine is on Clearwater now. It hasn’t been confirmed but I think Clearwater main as well as the loops will be refreshed.

Yesterday, skiing was epic, for so early in the season, it was great to see all of you out enjoying the sunny beautiful conditions.

Annual Pumpkin Hunt – October 26, 2024

Join Nelson Nordic’s Track Attack and Junior Racers at our popular annual Pumpkin Hunt to raise funds for our youth ski programs!

We will hide 150 pumpkins in our Enchanted Forest. Children 12 years and under are invited to hunt for a pumpkin, with our ski team athletes to guide them into the forest. FUN for the whole family!

Rubber Boots are recommended:)

Admission of $20 includes one pumpkin, one hot chocolate and one hotdog.

In order to spread out participants and make it a fun and safe event, we will have three sessions, one beginning at 10:00 am, second at 10:30 am, and third at 11:00 am.  All tickets must be purchased online in advance at nelsonnordicski.square.site

**Please remember to bring your own mug for hot chocolate and your own drinking water. Special thanks to our generous local sponsors; Pink Dog Design, Save-On-Foods, Safeway, Kootenay Coop, Oso Negro Coffee and Kootenay Bakery!

We look forward to seeing you out at the Nelson Nordic Apex trailhead on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Rain or shine!
