Remember the Alamo!
On this day in 1836 the Alamo fell to the Mexican army. 186 defenders, trying to defend the newly born Republic of Texas, that had been carved off from Mexican Territory, fought for 13 days against 3000 Mexican Soldiers. Almost all of the 186 defenders were killed when the Mexican Army took the small Stone Alamo Mission.
