Good Morning on Tariff Day,
The time is 6:01am and the temperature is right on zero. There has been snow overnight and it continues to snow. The snow should stop this morning and the skies partially clear with a high of +2c.
Cottonwood and Night loop are complete. Night creek will be skipped this morning. Busk/Euphrates will start soon, followed by Clearwater. The Clearwater loops will be left this morning.
Join Nelson Nordic’s Track Attack and Junior Racers at our popular annual Pumpkin Hunt to raise funds for our youth ski programs!
We will hide 150 pumpkins in our Enchanted Forest. Children 12 years and under are invited to hunt for a pumpkin, with our ski team athletes to guide them into the forest. FUN for the whole family!
Rubber Boots are recommended:)
Admission of $20 includes one pumpkin, one hot chocolates and one hotdog.
In order to spread out participants and make it a fun and safe event, we will have three sessions, one beginning at 10:00 am, second at 10:30 am, and third at 11:00 am. All tickets must be purchased online in advance at nelsonnordicski.square.site

That is not all though!
We always want to keep you gliding on your skis no matter what Mother Nature has in store, so, our long-term goal is to further expand and upgrade our trail system. These types of large infrastructure projects will require a significant amount of Club and partner funding to implement.
Preliminary reviews of future trail expansions possibilities are underway, but no final project area has been determined at this time.
The Club is reviewing the feasibility of expanding along the Hall Siding corridor, and initial plans and estimates for this expansion are upwards of $270k or higher. Alternative areas that connect to our trails are also being investigated.
We have already begun writing grants to secure funds for future expansion projects.
