Trail Conditions Feb. 09/16

…-3 degrees….no new snow….Groomers are still having a hard time with the conditions on the trails….very hard/compact in the a.m. and soften as the day progresses…Apex, Night Loops, Busk/Euphrates were groomed this a.m. and in excellent condition. Cottonwood was last groomed Feb. 08 and the groomer is up on Clearwater hoping to be able to produce a product. If too difficult it will be left as is, which is still in good condition…..Enjoy!!!

Trail Conditions Feb. 08/16

….-2 degrees…no new snow…Grooming has been quite difficult after warm temperatures and then going to -8 yesterday, as the groomers say “like trying to groom concrete”…therefore, the skate lanes on Clearwater, up to 2km-Euphrates-Cottonwood-Apex and Night Loops were groomed last night and in excellent condition. The classic tracks on all the trails were last groomed Feb. 06 and are holding up quite well. There will be some icy sections on all the trails and soften up as the day progresses…Reminder: Busk trail will remain CLOSED for today, the Euphrates trail is Open, you will just be required to ski to the RIGHT and obey the CLOSED signs…The NNSC is offering FREE skiing to family and friends today to celebrate Family Day….Enjoy!!!!

Trail Conditions Feb. 07/16

….bbbrrrr – 10 degrees….no new snow….Clearwater, loops 2, 3 & 4- Cottonwood Main Trail-Apex and Night Loops were groomed this a.m. for both classic and skate skiing and are in excellent condition…Cottonwood Field loop and Main loop were groomed Feb. 06 and are still in good condition..a few REMINDERS: Busk/Euphrates trail is CLOSED until Monday Feb.08 for a Boy Scout winter camp- BC Rabbits Program is occurring today at Apex, if you are NOT involved in this program you will be asked to park at Busk parking lot. You can still ski on the Apex trails, we just need the parking spots…NNSC is offering FREE skiing for family and friends on Family Day Mon. Feb.08…Enjoy!!!

Trail Conditions Feb. 06/16

..0 degrees….rain overnight…these warm/wet temperatures make it quite challenging for grooming therefore the trails are in fair – good condition..the trails were groomed in this order-Cottonwood-Apex-Night Loops…The groomer started grooming Clearwater @ 4:00 a.m. and should be completed by 9:00 a.m…all trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing….REMINDERS: The Busk/Euphrates trail will be CLOSED this week end due to a boy scout winter camp occurring, and will re open for Family Day, Monday Feb. 08th…Speaking of Family Day, this will be a FREE ski day so be sure to invite all of your family and friends to enjoy the beauty of our trails….Enjoy!!!!
