Grooming is complete on the Apex side, with Cottonwood, Rail Grade, Night loop, Night Creek all refreshed. Busk/Euphrates will start shortly. Clearwater will be left today.
The time is 5:45am and the temperature is -20c. It will be mostly sunny this morning, becoming increasingly cloudy in the afternoon, with a high of -5c.
Grooming is complete on Night loop, Apex loop, and Rail grade. Cottonwood is being skipped this morning. Clearwater is underway and will be followed by Busk/Euphrates.
Again, dress warm with puffy, buff and wooly toque, if you come to ski this morning!
As of 5:48am the temperature is 22c. It will be sunny with a high of -7c today.
Grooming is complete on Night loop, Night creek, Apex loop, Stadium and Rail grade. Cottonwood is underway at the moment. Clearwater will follow, but will be groomed only up to about 2kms. East Busk and Busk/Euphrates will be last.
If you ski early today prepare for the cold, wear layers and buff and a good toque.
Also the moose was seen yesterday by a few people again. Just remember if you encounter the moose, she will try to avoid you and retreat if you stay far away from her. But moose can be very dangerous if they feel threatened by someone skiing to close to them. Don’t approach her to get better pictures or a closer look. If possible ski away from her and take another route. The NNSC wants all the users of our trails to remain safe, both two and four legged.
As of 5:30am the temperature is -23c, with clear skies. The temperature should rise quickly this morning with the full sun, and by mid day it should be -6c.
We are not grooming the trails this morning, but will resume tomorrow morning. The trails should be in fine condition. 9am to a little after noon is the best time to capture some rays, a question I am most often asked! Dress warm with puffies and buffs, if you come very early.
