TRAIL AND GROOMING UPDATE

December 22, 2021

Good Morning,

Conditions at our club this morning has warmed up a bit from Yesterdays -17c. This morning it is -7c. About an inch of snow has fallen over the last 12hrs. It should warm up to about -5c by mid day. A perfect temperature for a ski.

Jason has been grooming last night and will have groomed Clearwater, Busk/Euphrates. On the Apex side he will be redoing the part of the night loop that has already been groomed, as well as finishing the portion that has so far been left undone. The rail grade and Cottonwood will also be refreshed.

In the pre Christian Norse holiday of Yule there are 12 devotional days, actually starting on December 20th. December 20th is Mothers night and a celebration of the Godess Frigg. Food that female ancestors enjoyed was to be made. December 21st, the Winter Solstice, you are to wake before the Sun and greet “Sunna” as she rises. December 22nd is a celebration of the god Freyr. Wild Boar is to be served for dinner on this day (pork I suppose will do).
