Merry Christmas eve Nelson Nordic,
Current temperatures this morning at almost 7am is -3.5c with a light breeze and about 1cm of snow accumulation over the last 12 hours. Rather than rising temperatures, they are predicted to fall by mid day by about 1 degree to about -4c.
Mark is grooming today and grooming is complete on Clearwater, and the night loop. He will be starting busk shortly and will be done around 8am. After that he will be grooming the rail line and Cottonwood on the Apex side.
To give our groomers a well earned rest on Christmas day, the club will not be grooming tomorrow. Classic ski day on the 25th!
For the 12 days of Yule, the 24th was a day in celebration of the god Odin, and the god that Yule is named after which was Jólnir or the Yule Being. On this day a person would make a wish ornament for decorating a tree. The ornament would represent a wish they would like to come true.
For all the members, casual skiers, and staff of Nelson Nordic, have a very Merry Christmas
