Good Morning Skiers,
The time is 7am and the temperature is -1c. We have had 3cm of snow overnight and the temperature should be around 0c for the day with a possibility of further snow later today.
The little bit of snow should make a difference in our trails, and Mitch has groomed Cottonwood down to the lake, he has aslo refreshed Clearwater, Wolverine and the Cabin loop. Moose has been groomed with some brush showing through but it is skiable. West Busk is patchy at the beginning with good condtions at the rail grade and set for tracks.
Apex access to Cottonwood is closed but skiers can access it by walking across the hwy at Busk parking lot entrance and continue walking left through the treed section to the south bridge and ski from there, watch for icy sections if you are walking through the trees to the south bridge.
Little by little things are improving. Following the weekend we should be in negative temperatures and cloud cover which will hopefully lead to more snow so we can get our full network of trails into operation.
Clearwater has been superb so if you are into the climb we have something for you! For those who prefer flat trails Cottonwood and West Busk railgrade are in good shape as are the Clearwater loops after the snow last night.
