Things are warming up, up here. It is -23c and going up a degree every 20minutes. it is a beautiful sunny day and should be much warmer by midday. I will try and give another update through the day.

Good Morning Folks,

The time is 5am and the temperature at our club is -31c. There was no fresh snow overnight. This cold trough has peaked (or bottomed out), and temperatures should rise to the high teens by midday. Temperatures should be in the teens by tomorrow.

No grooming was done this morning as trail use was light yesterday, and with no fresh snow, the trails will still be in good shape. All trails on Apex side, minus Night creek were groomed yesterday. On the Busk side all of Clearwater including Bypass, Connector and all loops were refreshed yesterday as well as Busk/Euphrates and loops.

If you plan to ski this morning come prepared for extreme cold. Light weight, tight fitting ski boots can cause frostbite in these temperatures. Bring a backpack with extra clothes and a windbreaker. And wear mitts, instead of gloves. And cover your face with a necker or buff.
