Good Morning,

Conditions at our club at 7:30am are -7c with 7cm of fresh snow in the last 12 hours. Temperature will rise to around -4 by mid day.

Grooming is complete, with Clearwater and loops, Busk/Euphrates, Apex & Cottonwood Rail Grade and Night Loop, all in excellent condition for Classic & Skate.

There is heavy snow in the forecast later today so be sure to get out there early, if you can, to make the most of fresh grooming today.

Bringing a Nordic theme, Medieval Kings and wireless technology all together here is the interesting fact of the day. When in 1997, Jim Kardach of Intel was considering a name for the newly developed wireless technology that connects electronic devices. He had a conversation with a friend who was fascinated by the King of Denmark and Norway who reigned from 958 to 986 and brought together Denmark and Norway into a unified Kingdom, the same way the new wireless technology would bring together electronic devices. This Kings name was Harold Bluetooth. The symbol for Bluetooth is the Nordic Runes for H for Harold( ᚼ ) and B for Bluetooth (ᛒ).
