Good Morning Skiers,
The time is 6:00am and the temperature is just below 0c. There has been snow through the night, which is continuing, and about 4cm has accumulated. Temperatures may rise to +2c by late afternoon. Skies will be overcast with periods of snow through the day. By evening the skies will partly clear and temperatures will drop to -1c.
We were able to get the husky running again and grooming has commenced. Mitch has finished refreshing Cottonwood, Rail grade, Apex loop, Night loop and Stadium. He has just crossed the highway and is heading up Clearwater where the main trail, Cabin loop and Wolverine loop will be refreshed. Following Clearwater, will be Busk Euphrates. Trail conditions should be back to our high standards by 9am, and all the pits and patches caused by this unusual warm spell should be largely repaired, or at least greatly improved.
I hope to see a horde of ecstatic skiers up there this morning!
