Warm temperatures with rain and heavy, wet snow have made for very challenging grooming conditions. Graham was out overnight in the Husky, tuning up skate lanes and classic tracks throughout the network.
He is finishing up on Busk as of 7:15 am.
Trails are generally in good condition.
Our Jackrabbits program runs from 9 to 11:30 at Apex today. Track Attack runs at Busk from 10 to 12. The parking lots should be less busy after noon.
If you are planning on skiing this morning before 10:15 am and are not part of the Jackrabbits program, please consider parking at Busk.
Also, a reminder to maintain social distancing, especially in parking lots and at the trailheads. We know it’s hard when you see your friends. But please do not linger and chat at trailheads and try to be courteous of others who may be trying to pass through the area to access the kiosks and trails. If social distancing cannot be maintained, please bring a mask with you to be worn until you reach the trails. We all need to take responsibility for keeping cross-country skiing a safe activity for our community.
Thank you.
