TRAILS & GROOMING UPDATE

March 8, 2021

Good Morning Snow lovers,

Jason our groomer last night has informed me that conditions (as of 05:20am) on upper clearwater is -7 Celsius with 10cm of new snow, and it is -5 Celsius on our lower trail network with about 2cm of new snow. Skies are clear and winds are calm. Predicted day time high is +4 Celsius with clear skies to continue.

Clearwater trail is in excellent condition with all lower trails in very good condition. All are groomed for Skate and Classic. The Busk side is complete and Jason will be heading over to the Apex side to finish over there.

Monday, is a day to honor the moon. It originates from the Romans “Dies Lunae” or Day of the Moon. It sounds a bit off as it didn’t fully evolve with the great vowel shift from Middle English to Modern English. Originally it was Mōnandæg in Old English (before 1100AD) and Monenday in Middle English (1300s) where it evolved to Monday in modern English.

Have a great ski on Moon Day!
