Good Morning Skiers,
As of 06:40am current conditions at our club are -5 Celsius, with clear skies and 1cm of snow accumulation over the last 12 hrs. Predicted daytime highs will be +4 Celsius with partly cloudy skies and a chance of some flurries later in the day.
Alida is grooming this morning. Grooming is complete on Busk/Euphrates, and is ongoing currently on Clearwater. Apex trails to follow after 07:15 am. Main trails but not the loops are done. Thanks Alida!
Tuesday is the day in honor of the the Germanic god Tyr. Tyr is the old Norse for this god, but the Angles Saxons, Jutes and Frisians, that flooded into Britian after the Romans departed after 410AD, spoke a different dialect, and the name for this god was Tiw. In Old English (before 1100AD) it was Tiwesdæg, in Middle English (1300’s) it was Tewesday and it evolved to Tuesday in Modern English. Tyr was the god of single combat and justice, kind of the equivalent to the Roman god Mars.
Have a wonderful ski on Tyr’s Day
