TRAILS & GROOMING UPDATE

Saturday, December 18

Approximately 8 cm of fresh snow has fallen overnight, and Graham has been out since 4am grooming Clearwater in the PistenBully 100 for you earlybirds. Clearwater main and side loops are in great shape for both classic and skate skiing, but of course with the forecasted snowfall warning, the grooming will be getting covered as the day goes on. We intend to groom again tomorrow morning.

Graham is now switching machines to the Prinoth Husky to tackle the Busk Euphrates area. There is still not quite enough coverage to take the big machine in there, but that area should be groomed and trackset before 9 am. As always, please use caution and slow down when skiing near the grooming machine when it’s in operation.

He will then shift focus to the Apex side. He has groomed a corridor on one side of the Night Loop, so that you may pick up your pass at Apex Kiosk and then ski over to the Busk network. We will see what else we are able to groom on the Apex side today and update you later on.

Our NordicPulse GPS tracker with live grooming updates will be working tomorrow.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS

Both kiosks will be open today. Dave is already up at Apex, and Kjell will be opening Busk Kiosk around 9am.

New membership cards can only be printed at Apex Kiosk. Memberships must be purchased either at Apex Kiosk or online at https://zone4.ca/register.asp?id=26929&lan=1&cartlevel=1

Please note that it is much more efficient at the kiosk if you purchase your membership online in advance. Otherwise, our attendant has to enter your information in Zone 4 for you. Which takes time and holds up the line.

If you just need a 2021-22 sticker for your existing card, you can pick that up at either kiosk (Apex or Busk). Day passes are also available at either kiosk, where we accept cash or credit/debit cards with payment on the Square.

We have a Community Coaching course taking place at Apex Hut this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) but otherwise Apex Hut and both Clearwater and Euphrates Cabins remain closed at this time. Thanks for your understanding and happy skiing!
