Update at 8:38 am: Cottonwood Rail Grade is groomed to the highway. Graham cleared all 5 trees like the hero he is! Who let the dogs out? We did!
EARLIER:
We received 2cm of fresh snow overnight. As of 6am, trails groomed and in excellent condition for classic and skate skiing include the Clearwater and Busk Euphrates networks, as well as the Night Loop and Stadium on the Apex side.
Temperature is currently -6C, with a forecasted high today around -3 or -4C and a mix of sun & cloud.
Graham is currently headed back to the Apex side where he will be grooming on the Rail Grade. We will post again regarding his progress in opening up the public access dog section (first 1.5km from Cottonwood Lake), which had several large trees down yesterday.
Today is the first session of our Bunnies and Jackrabbits program, which begins at 10am! If you’re coming up after 9 am please park at Busk to leave room at Apex for participants in the Jackrabbits program. Thank you!
