Only 2 cm of fresh snow in the last 24 hours has allowed us to get out overnight and widen the tracks in a number of places, particularly on Busk, Euphrates, Clearwater main trail and its side loops, including the Moose Loop.
As of 7:30 a.m., classic track is currently being set on those loops.
Apex Loop and Cottonwood Rail Grade will be groomed next, with tracksettting to follow shortly afterward.
We have our Skills Improvement Clinic on the Apex side from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. today!
Conditions today should be very good to excellent until fresh snow begins to accumulate on the trails. Another 5 to 10 cm is in the forecast for today, so get it while it’s good!
In other promising news, our main grooming machine appears to be almost back in order. Huge thanks are due to Eric Jorgensen and Jordan Zarikoff for troubleshooting and repairing the electrical problems over the last 48 hours. We’re still waiting for a few parts from the manufacturer, which should arrive soon, and we hope to have the machine back in operation sometime next week! 🤞
