Club Updates – Thank you IODE Nelson Chapter!

We are incredibly grateful to IODE for their generous $1,000 donation in support of our Nelson Nordic Ski Club.

Hearing that the IODE chapter has donated over $51,000 to community groups is truly inspiring, and we are honored to be among the organizations you support.

It isn’t always easy to measure the full impact of a donation, but we know without question that at Nelson Nordic Ski Club we could not do what we do without the generosity of community partners like you. Every welcoming smile, every kind greeting, and every act of support you share helps spread joy and build dreams throughout our community.

Your contribution helps fund programs and events that bring people together, spark passion, and keep Nordic dreams alive for individuals and families alike. From all of us at Nelson Nordic Ski Club, thank you for believing in our mission and in the power of community.

Trails and Grooming Update

December 21, 2025

Good Morning Folks,

At 7am on the shortest day of the year, it is -1c at our club with 15cm of fresh snow. We should see a mix of sun and cloud today with a high of 0c.
Grooming is complete on the Apex side, with Cottonwood/Rail Grade, Night loop and Apex loop refreshed. Clearwater is just getting underway, and should include the loops. Busk/Euphrates will follow. I am not certain if East Busk will get a pass this morning.

Ginzu grooming is in progress on Busk-Euphrates! we know that you will appreciate the update and refresh to those “oreo” patches on the trails!
Happy skiing it is a beautiful day enjoy the trails:)

Opening Day – December 12, 2025

Nelson Nordic Ski Club kiosks and select trails will open on Friday, December 12, 2025!

We are thrilled to welcome back our members, staff and volunteers for another fun and eventful ski season:)

We encourage members to avoid the line-ups to register for a membership at the kiosk and sign up online. This will help save you, and others, time at the kiosks.

Membership Card Pickup

If you have waited until your first ski to pick up your membership card or annual sticker, please note:

New members (or if you don’t have your old card)

If you’re a new member, please come to the APEX Kiosk when you arrive for your first ski of the season. Our Apex parking lot is located at the base of Whitewater Road, 10 minutes south of Nelson. The kiosk attendant will take your picture out the window of the kiosk and then print you a card, which you will retain for this year and future seasons.

Returning members

If you already have a membership card from previous seasons, you may visit either kiosk (Busk/Clearwater or Apex) to get a 2025-26 sticker for your card (you must have your card with you). If you no longer have your membership card, please come to the Apex Kiosk.
