TRAILS & GROOMING UPDATE

March 7, 2021G

Good Morning Nelson Nordic,

As of 06:08am conditions at our club are -1.5 Celsius, with overcast skies and light winds. A dusting of snow has fallen overnight. Predicted daytime highs are +5 Celsius with flurries in the morning. The sun may make an appearance with partly cloudy skies for the day.

Jason is our groomer today and he has completed the Busk/Euphrates network of trails and Clearwater. He is going to do one more pass on Busk, before heading over to the Apex side, probably after 07:00am. Thanks Jason!

On this day in the year 321, Roman Emperor Constantine I decreed that this day of the week to be “Dies Solis”, or the “Day of the Sun” in honor of the late Roman Sun god, Sol Invictus, (the unconquered sun). And that this day was to be a day of rest for all Romans. It has remained thus ever since. Conveniently March 7 falls on a Sunday this year.

Have a wonderful Ski on this Dies Solis!
